The ONE THING and The FIVE Behaviors of a Cohesive Team

What is your ONE THING?

Based on a recommendation from Jeffrey Gitomer, I picked up a book entitled “The One Thing.” The lessons learned will be transformational for you, your company, and your family – if you let it. Take a look at the the definition of the ONE THING: “What’s the ONE THING I can do such that by doing it, everything else will be easier or unnecessary?”

This thinking can apply to everything from your five year goal to your daily to-do list (or as the author, Gary Keller, says, your success list). And it applies as much to your personal life as your professional life.

At our company, we have implemented weekly “ONE THING” team meetings where we talk about the one success from the previous week (home and work) and the one thing we will each focus on for the upcoming week.  It’s been powerful.

But it got me thinking – What is the ONE THING I can do this year for our company? The answer was to build an even stronger team. How? By leveraging the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team program, and the associated Five Behaviors Comparison Reports.
